How to relive the 80s, 90s, and 00s
Ryan and Bart begin the first of a three-part series exploring how to go back in time and relive or recreate the 80s, 90s, and 2000s. The guys explain what to wear, what to listen to, what to watch, and how to talk to really get into the culture of the time. You won’t believe who the guys give as their biggest celebrity crushes from each decade!
For the 80s, Bart mentions his love for the original Nintendo and the Spielberg movies as great ways to transport one’s self back in time. Ryan cites the music of Bon Jovi and classic shows like Fraggle Rock and Who’s The Boss.
For the 90s, Ryan recalls The Simpsons, Seinfeld, and the last time his beloved Minnesota Twins won the World Series, while Bart gets lost in the music of Nirvana while recalling a 90s bar crawl.
In the 2000s, the guys realize their attire hasn’t changed much, but they had experimented with various facial hair styles at the time. Shows like Freaks and Geeks and Family Guy were amongst the guys’ favorites in the past. Revisiting old college campuses seemed odd and diminished the experience.
Questions Answered
The guys not only touched on the past in terms of decades, but also go into more detailed experiences with how to actually live out memories from the past. Ryan cautions, however, that it is easy to look back at past experiences through rose-tinted lenses.
